Objective: To investigate the relationship between the use of smart technology and the perception of authentic leadership with entrepreneurial enthusiasm among school principals.
Methodology: This research was applied and conducted using a descriptive-correlation method. The statistical population of the research included all principals of elementary schools in Shahrekord city in the academic year 2023-2024 (144 people). A statistical sample equal to the size of the statistical population was considered and they responded to the research questionnaires including the use of researcher-made smart technology, authentic leadership by Olio and Gardner (2008), and entrepreneurial enthusiasm by Branbeck et al. (2016) after confirming their validity and reliability. Descriptive and inferential statistics such as Pearson correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data.
Results: It showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the use of smart technology and the dimensions of entrepreneurial enthusiasm (developmental enthusiasm R=0.25, founding enthusiasm R=0.34, and innovative enthusiasm R=0.28) of school principals. There was also a significant positive relationship between the dimensions of perception of authentic leadership and the dimensions of entrepreneurial enthusiasm (the "self-awareness" component with developmental enthusiasm R=0.15, founding enthusiasm R=0.16, and innovative enthusiasm R=0.18), (the "ethical" component with developmental enthusiasm R=0.27, founding enthusiasm R=0.19, and innovative enthusiasm R=0.15), (the "balanced processing" component with developmental enthusiasm R=0.37, founding enthusiasm R=0.34, and innovative enthusiasm R=0.26), and (the "relational transparency" component with developmental enthusiasm R=0.25) of school principals.
Conclusion: The entrepreneurial enthusiasm of school principals is a phenomenon that can be explained by a set of interrelated factors, and there is a significant relationship between the use of smart technology and the perception of leadership with entrepreneurial enthusiasm.
