Objective: The aim of the research was to analyze the quality of learning of upper secondary school students based on 21st century skills.
Methodology: The present study is applied in terms of its purpose, descriptive-correlational in nature, and field method. The statistical population of this study included all second-year high school students, both male and female, in District 1 of Tabriz in the academic year 1404-1405 (1800 people), of whom 317 were selected as a statistical sample using a stratified random sampling method. Two standard questionnaires for the quality of learning by Rahmani (2010) and the assessment of 21st century skills by Kouhy et al. (2013) were used to collect data. Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression tests were used to test the hypotheses. The software used was SPSS version 28.
Results: Based on the findings, there is a positive and significant relationship between 21st century skills and students' attitudes and perceptions (r=0.515), knowledge acquisition and integration (r=0.518), knowledge expansion and modification (r=0.645), meaningful use of knowledge (r=0.676), and mental habits (r=0.701) (P<0.01). The results of multiple regression analysis showed that the role of 21st century skills in attitudes and perceptions (β=0.101), knowledge acquisition and integration (β=0.089), knowledge expansion and modification (β=0.200), meaningful use of knowledge (β=0.224), and mental habits (β=0.331) of students is significant (P<0.05). Based on the beta values, attitudes and perceptions, knowledge acquisition and integration, knowledge expansion and modification, meaningful use of knowledge, and mental habits can predict 10.1%, 8.9%, 20.0%, 22.4%, and 33.1% of students' learning quality, respectively.
Conclusion: Whether students are equipped with 21st century skills can predict the quality of their learning.
