Objective: The primary objective of this study is to examine the management of creativity components (such as fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration) among primary school students in the city of Halabja. This objective is grounded in assessing creativity levels and proposing managerial strategies aimed at improving educational programs.
Methodology: This fundamental research adopted a descriptive-analytical approach within a cross-sectional framework. The population comprised 2,000 students from grades one to six in Halabja during the 2020–2021 academic year. Employing cluster sampling guided by the Krejcie and Morgan table, a sample of 322 students was drawn (170 boys, 52.8%; 152 girls, 47.2%). Data collection utilized the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (Form A, pictorial version). Analysis was conducted via SPSS version 22. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test revealed non-normal data distribution (p = 0.001), prompting the use of non-parametric equivalents, including Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis tests, for intergroup comparisons.
Results: Mean scores for creativity components across the sample were satisfactory (>70%), with fluency and flexibility exhibiting the highest values and originality and elaboration at moderate levels. Nonetheless, no significant differences emerged by gender (p > 0.05) or grade level (p > 0.05). Educational management's role in orchestrating creativity-focused initiatives positively influenced aggregate scores but requires further fortification.
Conclusion: These results underscore the imperative for sustained and intensified creativity-centric programs throughout elementary schooling. School administrators must prioritize contextually attuned strategies, such as expanding collaborative workshops and innovation-driven projects, to cultivate enduring creativity gains. Such measures promise to elevate educational standards in Iraq's Kurdistan Region while laying the foundation for subsequent investigations.
